Last night I was honored to attend the White House Historical Association's 2016 Christmas Ornament Unveiling.
Each year this is a special event as it celebrates and honors a president or significant White House anniversary with the unveiling of the ornament. ChemArt, a Veteran-owned company, creates the ornament for the White House.
This year's ornament was a gorgeous red fire engine in honor of Herbert Hoover's presidency and the 1929 White House fire that occurred on Christmas Eve. Children who attended the White House Christmas Eve party were evacuated and received a red fire engine the following year as a gift.
You can buy your 2016 ornament here.
Here are a few pics of the party. My oldest daughter Ava was my date!

Today I wanted to share a Behind The Scenes Look at our Soho loft project with Elevate Design Collective--a collaboration of six big name home decor brands and JWS Interiors.
This a great video produced by Elevate with a time elapse of how we transformed the loft as well as a look at our unveiling party, how we went about choosing our custom Pantone color and much more!
Huge shout out to Elevate for this amazing video. I was thrilled to have been a part of this team!
One of my favorite things to do in a room is use a console table with an ottoman or ottomans underneath. It is a great way to make a wall or niche pretty, yet functional.
Ottomans can be brought out from the table and used as extra seating when entertaining.
Take a look at these photos of how JWS used consoles as well as other designers.
