Layering Rugs

Hi! I hope your week is going well. Today I wanted to share with you the idea of layering rugs--and specifically layering a hide on top of a neutral rug like a sisal.

I love the look that layering provides. As you know I'm a huge fan of hides (faux is great!) --it adds that little bit of luxury, yet keeps a casual vibe when you use a natural fiber rug underneath.

Take a look at these amazing interiors featuring the layered look.

What do you think?

I love this NYC living room. Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams sofa, french brass coffee table eBay find and my favorite element: a layered neutral-colored cowhide on top of a sisal rug to creates texture

In a room of neutrals it's very important to add texture, and floors are a great place for this. Layering rugs is an easy texture trick.
