Project Complete: My Living Room

Just to give you a little background, we moved into our current home about 2 and half years ago and have a lot more space, hence why my living room has been fairly empty. But since it is one of the first rooms you see upon entering, albeit  never used,  I felt it needed to be spruced up.

Since I had a very small budget because there are other rooms I wanted to put money into, I added just a few things..many of which we already owned and the picture below is the outcome.

Here's what I added and what everything cost (after all, this blog is called 'Affordable Luxury')!
--2 new pillows from World Market- $9.99 each
--2 slipper chairs from Marshalls-$119 each (yes those chairs are from Marshalls) I wasn't about to spend $800+ on a chair that will barely be used
--New Gray Paint (Baltic Gray) by Ben Moore -$75 for 2 gallons + $150 to my painter (Kudos to my friend Kate who had this color in her master bedroom sitting area and I loved it.. it happened to match the chairs perfectly!)

TOTAL COST TO UPDATE: $485

I already owned the sofa, coffee table, end table, lamp, and accessories. To be honest, I'd love to switch out the coffee table and mirror, but again can't justify the cost since we never use this room.

What do you think of the result?
