3 DIY Projects: Re-Purposing Shower Curtains; Knobs, Knobs, Knobs, and Your Child's Artwork

I will be honest--I am not that crafty, but some DIY projects I CAN do and get great satisfaction when finished. Here are a few ideas that you can do too:

1.  Did you see a beautiful shower curtain? Why not make it into curtains for a bedroom? In the pic below I used  two 75x75" shower curtains and just added the hot pink pom-pom trim using "no-sew" tape and an iron.

2. Knobs, Knobs, Knobs--You can find vintage knobs in a variety of places. Anthropologie, www.anthropologie.com among other places online and in antique stores sell some pretty cool glass, painted, and iron knobs.  You can switch out your plain silver or brass knob on a bedroom door, office door, or any door for that matter to make it more special.  In a laundry room or mudroom, why not add some knobs to hold book bags, coats, and more?   Or try in a bathroom to hang towels?

3. My girlfriend and I were having coffee yesterday and were talking about her daughters' wall art. Here is a clever way to showcase your child's art and fill up empty wall space.

And, well, if you are REALLY crafty, what do you think about re-purposing an old suitcase? Check this chair out!
